We are so excited to have launched Motion 2 as the second generation of the award-winning Motion All Size 360, following its outstanding success in the market over the past three years.
Motion 2 is a 360° rotating, all-stage car seat that’s suitable from newborn right up to 12 years old thanks to its adaptable design. With 3 seat recline options and 8 headrest heights – which can all be adjusted using one hand – Motion 2 will cocoon your child in the most comfortable position as they grow. Motion 2’s energy-absorbing seat inserts will not only provide added protection, but an extra touch of comfort thanks to the ultra-smooth bamboo soft-touch fabric that’s kind to delicate newborn skin.
On the outside, you’ll find upgraded tailoring of Silver Cross’ signature eco fabrics, which can all be removed and cleaned in the washing machine for longevity and practicality. Crafted from recycled plastic bottles that would have otherwise been sent to landfill, Motion 2’s fabrics are as sustainable as they are stylish.

Hydro Protect liner
A first for the industry, the Hydro Protect liner is the car seat accessory of dreams – for children and parents! Not only does it add an extra layer of comfort to your little one’s ride, but it also protects the seat fabrics underneath for increased longevity over the years.
Crafted from soft-touch bamboo, with a silky-smooth vegan leather on the reverse, the Hydro Protect liner is machine washable at 30°C – perfect after a day of muddy toddler adventures. Simply remove the liner (which will catch any sand, mud and dirt to avoid any affect to your car seat’s fabrics), throw it into the washing machine, and you’re good to go again!

You asked, and we listened! The new EasyFit safety harness makes fastening your child into their car seat fuss free. Thanks to its sprung design, the harness will stay in position when it comes to securing your little passenger, rather than getting lost underneath a wriggling toddler.

What are the benefits of a 360° rotating car seat?
There are so many benefits to using a 360° rotating car seat, but the biggest has got to be the usability.
Because Motion 2 is so easy to install and use, it means there’s less chance of incorrect fitment when you’re out on the road. Fastening your child into their car seat isn’t always an easy feat, so being able to rotate the Motion 2 into the side-loading position makes the task much simpler.
Having the seat facing you when you are fitting it also means it’s easier to adjust the harness, head support and recline from the side of your vehicle, without leaning into it in awkward or uncomfortable way.
Which safety standards does Motion 2 meet?
Motion 2 is the second generation of the Motion All Size 360, which achieved the best-ever all-stage car seat rating by independent testing body ADAC. As well as being rigorously tested above and beyond regulation, Motion 2 is approved to the latest R129/03 safety standard for maximum security on every journey.
Hamish McPhillips is the Head of Car Safety at Silver Cross, with over a decade of experience in the design, testing and manufacture of child car seats. Hamish has a passion for engineering, starting his career as a test engineer, initially conducting crash testing for formula one cars. This lead to a focus in child car seats - even though the occupants are smaller the safety principles and engineering behind them are similar. Joining Silver Cross in 2018, Hamish has led the development of our market-leading car seat range, achieving best in class ADAC results and some exciting product firsts along the way.
