Crafted from natural materials, complemented by unique hand-painted illustrations, the Rosa & Blue for Silver Cross collection is the perfect gift for your new arrival. The Edit caught up with founder Pollyanna De Saulles on the inspiration behind the brand.
What’s the story behind the Rosa & Blue brand?
Rosa & Blue was founded in 2021 by Pollyanna, mother of two wonderful little girls, Rosa & Bluebell. Our sleepwear is designed with the goal of making parenting just that little bit easier for others; from washable, well wearing fabrics to beautiful neutral designs, Rosa & Blue is that sweet spot where fashion meets function. Each and every print is hand-drawn and painted in watercolour by Pollyanna’s talented husband.
“As a parent, I have a passion for high-quality children’s sleepwear and clothing. The idea started when my first daughter was born, and I had a dream of designing soft sleepwear paired with simplistic prints and on-trend colours. Whilst pregnant with my second daughter and working from home during a global pandemic, I started looking at turning my dream into a reality and from here, Rosa & Blue was born!”
Tell us about the collaboration between Silver Cross and Rosa & Blue.
We’re over the moon to be working with such an iconic British baby brand, and love that our style and ethos for design and quality are so aligned. With the launch of Silver Cross’ new furniture ranges it felt like the perfect opportunity to create beautiful matching bedding sets.
In the collection we included our best-selling 1.5 TOG sleeping bag, designed to last from 3 months to 24 months, as well as matching crib and cot bed sheets, a gorgeous double layer blanket and the sweetest little keepsake comforter.
What inspired the illustrations that are exclusive to the Silver Cross collection?
We knew we wanted to use the same gorgeous neutral tones of our best-selling Brown Bear print for one of the exclusive Silver Cross designs. We loved the idea of a rabbit but already had one in our Woodland Print, so decided on a sweet little mini lop bunny instead. Wanting to add a delicate pop of colour, we included fresh sprigs of rosemary and thyme. If you head to our Instagram, you can watch the bunny being illustrated by Pollyanna’s husband.
The second print in the collection features a mother duck and her three baby ducklings, sat on our classic bright white background. A family of ducklings felt like a classic choice for a calm and neutral nursery.
What is the collection crafted from?
This luxury collaboration is crafted from our signature blend of bamboo and organic cotton. The entire range is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified.

We have exciting new arrivals on their way for AW24, including a brand-new print for winter and a limited-edition gift set. Most excitingly, we’ll be launching into one of our favourite (and most iconic) UK department stores, so watch this space!
As a new mother with a love for simplistic and neutral babywear, but a distinct lack of it on the market, Pollyanna dreamed of creating her own range of children’s sleepwear. This is where Rob, Pollyanna’s husband comes into the picture. Rob is an incredible artist and at the time of their daughters’ birth, wasn’t utilising this wonderful talent. Pollyanna tasked her husband with the job of bringing her ideas to life, by painting realistic and beautiful childhood classics, such as Brown Bear, Starlit Moon and Floating Otter.
